Meet Mike

I was born into fitness by parents of athletes. My father played rugby for the Navy and my mother played basketball at the University of Memphis(Hall of Fame).

I found success early in football as a ball carrier and defender, playing at Mandarin Athletic Association from Mighty Mite to Junior Midget division. Undefeated regular seasons were the norm, finally wining the Junior Midget National Championship in 2002.

I attended Mandarin high school graduating in ‘07; Playing football, wrestling, and running track, ultimately accepting a scholarship to play football at Syracuse University. Earned and kept a starting position as a true freshman playing safety, cornerback, and kick/punt returner.

Graduated from Syracuse ‘11 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and shortly after, picked up as a free agent by the Chicago Bears. Ended the 2011 season with the Indianapolis Colts active roster, however not playing any games, mostly contributing on practice squad. Was released the following season which concluded my football career.

I dove right into fitness after football, getting certified as a trainer and launching Mike Holmes Fit, LLC in 2013, which i’m currently operating now.

I’ve been a personal trainer for over a decade, recently sharpening my virtual training skills on the road as an OTR Trucker.

I can help you reach your goals!
